New Delhi: Robert Anthony De Niro is one of the most successful American actors and has made name his name with his incredible acting skills in the cinema for over a decade. His father was of Irish and Italian decent while his mother had French, English, Dutch and German decent. His parents got separated when he was two years old and his father annouced that he was a gay. Robert De Niro was raised by his mother alone in the Greenwich village.
His father lived close to his house and remained close to him during his childhood. The Hollywood actor befriended many street kids in Italy. However his father didn’t like this and opposed his closeness with the kids but as time passed some of them became life long friends.
Robert attended a Public Elementary School in Manhattan. He made his first stage debut in school when he was 10 years old. The Hollywood actor soon realized that acting is a medium through which he can get away with his shy nature.
