Robert O. “Bob” Simpson turned 90 on Nov. 4, 2024.
He was married to Delores A. (Weese) Simpson. She passed in 2002.
Bob has two sons, Douglas (Anita) and David (Darla) Simpson, and one daughter, Pamela Phillippe. He is grandfather to Brian Phillippe, Laura Pike, and Benton, Allie and Aaron Simpson. He is great-grandfather to Jessica Phillippe, Benton Lee and Braxtyn Simpson, Chance, Justin, and Aiden Pike and Chance Angold.
He is great-great-grandfather to Lily and Sawyer Pease and Arrayah and Phoenix Angold. Bob worked for the St. Joseph News-Press for 30 years as a printer and 13 years as a superintendant of the packaging and distribution department, retiring on Jan.
24, 1997. Bob graduated from Lafayette High School in 1952. A family celebration was held at a local restaurant last weekend.
