According to Nguyen Hong Minh, Vice Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the festival aims to bring the image of Vietnam and its traditional Ao Dai closer to tourists and international friends, while also promoting Hanoi as a “safe, friendly, quality, and attractive” destination. Minh made these remarks at a press briefing held on August 27, where details of the event were unveiled.
