One of London’s favourite Christmas pastimes will be returning for winter 2024. Hampton Court Ice Rink is on many people’s Christmas must-do list, with the event being famous for its signature large Christmas tree. Set against the backdrop of King Henry VIII’s historic home, Hampton Court Palace transforms into a winter wonderland each year.

For 2024 their popular Ice Rink will be returning, as well as a huge Christmas market . With an open-air ice rink the Palace will be lit up with streams of fairy lights, making for a ‘beautiful photo-worthy backdrop’ for a day out with family and friends. This year the ice rink will be open for over six weeks - from Friday, November 22 to Sunday, January 5.

The Palace's ‘Festival Fayre’ will run from Friday, December 6 to Sunday, December 8, and Friday, December 13 to Sunday, December 15. There will be other Christmas activities taking place at the palace this year.

Visitors will be able to try their hand at Tudor cooking in King Henry VIII’s kitchen. There will also be live music at the palace, including in the Great Hall and the Guard Chamber in King William III’s apartments.
