Paris Fashion Week is officially underway, and with it comes a deluge of glamour: people are dressed to the nines, supermodels overrun the streets, etc, etc. But Gwyneth Paltrow , never one to stray far from her personal style, is keeping things suitably French by shying away from the more ostentatious style that fashion week is often known for. It may only be the start of autumn, but the Goop founder strolled through the streets of Île-de-France in a very seasonal outfit.

She wore a simple black turtleneck from her brand G. Label and wide-legged indigo jeans which hit around her ankle. Paltrow kept warm with a double-breasted black G.

Label peacoat, and accessorised with a black cross-body bag and black Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses. Like any smart tourist, Paltrow packed a pair of sensible walking shoes for Paris. Swerving away from the Sambas craze, she opted instead for a white Nike Cortez with black detailing.

The shoes feel especially appropriate in the afterglow of the Olympics: originally designed as track shoes, Nike released the Cortez to the public in 1972 in conjunction with the Munich Games. While Paltrow may not be rushing to channel her inner track star, we’re certain that she can conquer a 10,000-plus step day in Paris..
