The singer, 42, took to Instagram on Friday to announce that he has joined the cast of a Bollywood movie in his first ever acting role. The movie, called Hindi Vindi, is slated for release in Australia next month and tells the story of an Aussie-Indian boy who goes on a musical journey.

Guy is taking on the role of James in the Ali Sayd-directed release and will appear on screen alongside Indian actors Neena Gupta and Mihir Ahuja. As well as starring in the Bollywood film, Guy also brought his musical background to the project and created original songs for the soundtrack. Sharing the exciting news with his fans on Instagram, Guy told how his Indian mother Nellie is very proud of his new venture.
