The cause of death for the 25-year old-stepdaughter of Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has been revealed by Los Angeles authorities. Lucy-Bleu Knight tragically passed away on July 19. According to a report from the Los Angeles County medical examiner, released on Thursday, Lucy-Bleu died from hydrogen sulphide toxicity, and her death has been ruled as suicide .

Officials stated that law enforcement officers found Knight unresponsive during a welfare check at a private residence on July 19. She was pronounced dead at 3pm local time. Slash had previously shared the devastating news of his stepdaughter's death in an emotional Instagram post in July, which led to concerns after he cancelled a concert.

However, he has since returned to performing, reports the Mirror US . Hydrogen sulfide is a dangerous and flammable gas known for its toxic effects on humans. Acute exposure can lead to symptoms such as nausea, headaches , confusion, balance issues, tremors, convulsions, and irritation of the skin and eyes, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The New York Post was informed by the coroner's office that Ms. Knight was found unresponsive at a private residence on July 19 during a welfare check conducted by law enforcement. She was declared deceased at 3pm.

An examination was carried out by a deputy medical examiner on July 22, with the official cause of death confirmed on August 29. "My heart is permanently fractured," Slash penned in an emotional Instagram post.
