The event, held from January 22 to 23, attracted industry leaders, including the Minister of Tourism, senior officials from Gulf Air, and various airport and country managers from around the globe. The conference served as a platform for discussing the intertwined future of aviation and tourism, with a particular focus on sustainability and growth.
A Strong Opening Address The conference commenced with a speech from the Minister of Tourism, Fatima Al Sairafi. She underscored the vital role that aviation, particularly through Bahrain’s national carrier, plays in boosting tourism in the kingdom. By highlighting the airline’s extensive network, Al Sairafi pointed out how it positively impacts Bahrain’s tourism sector by attracting a larger number of international visitors.
She emphasized that events such as this provide an excellent opportunity to discuss and explore new strategies that enhance both the aviation and tourism industries.
