Ahmedabad: Odhav police on Thursday registered a case of rioting with deadly weapons and criminal intimidation against Gujarati singer Vijay Suvada and 13 others. Dinesh Desai, 34, a real estate agent, filed an FIR accusing Suvada and the others. He stated that a group of people in about 15 cars and 10-odd motorcycles came to his father’s office at Jwalin Chambers in Odhav.

The complainant said he had met Suvada seven years ago and also got acquainted with his brother Yuvraj Suvada. Desai said he is in real estate and met several people through the Suvada brothers. In 2020, he had a fallout with the Suvada brothers and stopped communicating with them.

Desai said that at about 12.30am on July 1, Vijay Suvada called him on the phone, used abusive language and threatened to kill him. Desai said he did not file a police complaint at that time.

On Sunday at about 9pm, Suvada called him again and threatened to kill him. Desai said he disconnected the call and then got multiple calls from different numbers, which he did not answer. Desai said that his business partner Chetan Rabari later called and told him that he too had received calls from two unknown numbers asking where he was and threatening to kill him.

Rabari advised Desai not to leave the house. Half an hour later, Rabari called him and told him that one Jay Desai informed him that 15 cars and 10 motorcycles were headed towards their house. The complainant said he stayed home and around midnight went to meet Jay near his .
