Statue of Unity (File Photo) VADODARA: Two tribal men were allegedly beaten to death by six workers on suspicion of being thieves at the construction site of a "Tribal Museum" near the Statue of Unity (SoU) in Gujarat's Narmada district . The six attackers have been arrested over the murders of Jayesh Tadvi and Sanjay Tadvi late Tuesday night. "The workers tied Jayesh, a resident of Kevadia, and Sanjay of nearby Gabhan village and thrashed them.

Jayesh died on the spot, while Sanjay died of injuries in the govt hospital in Rajpipla," Narmada SP Prashant Sumbe said. The SP added: "As per Sanjay Tadvi's dying declaration, he and Jayesh were farm labourers and they had entered the construction site during the night hoping to steal some metal scrap to sell." The six accused have been booked for murder and other offences under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities Act).
