Saturday, November 30, 2024 The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has announced the introduction of a new daily bus service that will connect Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in Ahmedabad with the scenic town of Dhordo in Kutch. Starting this Saturday, the service will provide a much-needed transportation option for tourists and travelers heading to this popular destination. Dhordo, known as the gateway to the stunning Rann of Kutch, draws countless visitors with its expansive white desert and cultural heritage, particularly during the famed Rann Utsav festival.

The new service will operate on a daily basis, with a 46-seater air-conditioned Volvo bus departing from Ahmedabad’s SVPI Airport at 6 a.m. each day.

The bus will make a stop at Bhuj before reaching Dhordo, ensuring that travelers have a comfortable journey as they explore the region’s unique landscapes and cultural attractions. This new initiative is expected to significantly enhance tourism in Kutch, especially during the Rann Utsav season, by providing seamless and direct connectivity for visitors arriving at the Ahmedabad airport. With this move, GSRTC aims to make travel to Kutch easier and more convenient, helping promote the region as a major tourist destination while offering a reliable transport option for those eager to explore the wonders of the Rann of Kutch and its surroundings.
