Vadodara: City-based GSFC University has signed a memorandum of understanding ( MoU ) with the University of Sannio , based in Benevento, Italy. The MoU aims to promote scientific research and academic collaboration . The MoU was signed recently by Professor G R Sinha, provost of GSFC University and Professor Gerardo Canfora, rector of the University of Sannio.

“This partnership is poised to enrich the academic landscapes of both universities, focusing on a wide range of disciplines including science, engineering, humanities and social sciences,” a release from GSFC University said. “Key areas of collaboration are faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects and the sharing of academic resources, fostering mutual growth and innovation,” the release further said. During his recent visit to the University of Sannio as visiting professor, Sinha was invited to deliver a short-term course on cognitive science and brain-computer interface (BCI) to doctoral students.

It was during this visit that the MoU was signed. Sinha and Professor Silvia L Ullo from University of Sannio will coordinate the implementation of the MoU, ensuring that the collaboration benefits students and faculty at both universities. “Since our inception in 2015 with just two programmes and 141 students, we have grown exponentially.
