Wednesday, October 2, 2024 Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) has announced the launch of a new scheduled service to Zhoushan, China, beginning on November 7, 2024. The route will offer three weekly flights between Hong Kong and Zhoushan Putuoshan International Airport. Zhoushan, a maritime city in Zhejiang Province, is composed of over 1,300 islands, with Zhoushan Main Island being the fourth-largest island in China.
The area is renowned for Putuoshan, one of China’s four sacred Buddhist mountains. Visitors are drawn to the impressive 18-meter-tall statue of the Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin), the largest outdoor Guanyin statue in Asia.
