Friday, November 29, 2024 Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) is set to significantly expand its network coverage in Mainland China with the launch of a new scheduled service to Yichang, Hubei Province, starting December 17, 2024. This new route will connect Hong Kong with Yichang three times a week, operating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The flights will arrive and depart from Yichang Sanxia International Airport, making it more convenient for travelers to explore this stunning region.

Located in southwestern Hubei Province, Yichang spans approximately 21,000 square kilometers along both the upstream and midstream of the iconic Yangtze River. The city is not only a key transportation hub but also boasts a wealth of cultural and natural attractions that draw visitors from around the globe. Yichang is renowned for its tourism resources, with highlights including the world-famous Three Gorges Dam, the awe-inspiring Three Gorges Grand Waterfalls, and the picturesque Qingjiang Gallery.

Other notable attractions include the Memorial Temple of Qu Yuan, Xiling Gorge, and the Tribe of the Three Gorges. These landmarks have helped Yichang gain international acclaim as a must-visit destination. In 2023, the city welcomed 110 million visitors, with three million traveling by air, according to the Yichang Municipal People’s Government.
