The 15th series of The Great British Bake Off will land on Channel 4 later this month, and with it comes a new array of 12 talented bakers all eager to bag themselves the coveted title. The contestants will be hoping to please the judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their culinary skills each week and aim to be the next Matty Edgell, who was crowned the 2023 winner. But who will be gracing the Bake Off tent? From a dental student to a farm manager from Wiltshire, the class of 2024 are certainly going to have to prove their worth with some tasty baking.

The menswear designer finds his comfort in bread and also have a love for gardening. His bakes are described to be 'meticulously detailed and beautiful.' Sumayah is a dental student, however she found her love for baking after creating macaron tower she made for her aunt’s mehndi wedding celebration.

How will the self-taught baker do during the competition? The former university lecturer fell in love with baking when his children were small and learned the basics from his grandmother. He apparently makes a 'mean' New York cheesecake. John is a Directorate Support Manager⁣ and learned to fall in love with baking thanks to his Nan.

His favourite bake is a classic lemon tart and likes to put a twist on classic recipes. The specialist midwife liked to bake as a child and loves using Middle Eastern ingredients, such as dried fruits. Her savoury bakes are also inspired by the flavours of the Caribbean, so she is one to watc.
