"[People] reaching out, sharing stories, it definitely helps the healing," son Mike Hung says THE HUNG FAMILY The body of , a 71-year-old grandfather from Raleigh, N.C., has been found nearly two weeks after he left home and disappeared, his family and police tell PEOPLE.

Hung went missing sometime between the evening of Aug. 9 and early the next morning, son Mike Hung previously told PEOPLE. The retired car salesman left his home without his cell phone or wallet, taking wife Pamela’s silver Mercedes.

Raleigh Police Department officials say that Hung was "located deceased" about 5 miles away from his house on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at approximately 3:55 a.m.
