Grace B. Viens FAYSTON — Grace Betty Viens, 88, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin, VT. Grace was born on April 18, 1936, in Topsham, VT.

She was the daughter of the late Earl F. and Sophronia (Emerson) Long. On September 3, 1955, she married Bernard A.

Viens. Bernard predeceased Grace on February 6, 2017. Grace was a 1954 graduate of Waitsfield High School.

After high school, she married Bernard and was busy with her young family. She supported her husband on the farm in Moretown and later Waitsfield. She worked alongside her mother-in-law Gertrude Viens cleaning houses in the Mad River Valley.

She worked in the kitchen for many years at Harwood Union High School. She retired from her job at Harwood Union to care for her husband Bernard. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, cooking, making beautiful wedding cakes, and spending time with her family.

Additionally, Grace was a long-time member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness of Moretown. Grace is survived by her Children; Ernest Viens and his wife, Susan of Barre, Denise Viens Kirkpatrick of Northfield and her partner Roger Wolcott, and Christine Cooke of Waterbury Center: Three sisters; Luvia Callahan, Hope Emmerson, Heidi Peyton, and two brothers; Robert Long, Stephen Gardner. She had seven grandchildren that she very much enjoyed; Daniel Kirkpatrick and his wife Shannon, Shaun Kirkpatrick, Diana Laperle and her husband Lucas, Stephen Viens, Krysta Emerson and her hu.
