The old Godnick’s Building at 221 Glen Street in Glens Falls has been sold. The home to Spot Coffee and 29 apartments, the four-story building also known as Ordway Hall. It was sold before foreclosure in 2022 to a real estate holding company based in Florida.

The Albany Business Review reported that the building was purchased by Kevin Cioffi, who owns Reliable Properties down near Albany. His partners in the purchase were his brother, Craig, and Michael Carey, Jr. Kevin Cioffi told the Business Review that “we saw this as an opportunity to be right in the center of a great, up-and-coning city.

” The building as nearly 8,000 square feet of first-floor space available for lease. The space was once used by a children’s daycare business. Old-timers will remember that the building once housed the YMCA, and had a pool on an upper floor.

John LaNoir honored for his work benefitting local veterans Sgt. John W. LaNoir (USMC Ret.

) of Glens Falls was honored last weekend with a plaque at the 14th annual Hole in One for Heroes golf tournament at Hiland. The tournament, put on by VFW Post 2475, raised $25,000 for local veterans organizations. LaNoir was presented with the Patriot Award, which recognizes his commitment to providing services and support to local veterans and their families, “in both times of great joy and unexpected sorrow.

” The award reads, “For your selfless service and commitment to our beloved community of veterans, you have our eternal gratitude.” LaNoir.
