Gordon Ramsay has given Adam Peaty his permission to marry his daughter, Holly, according to reports. The Olympian, 29, has been dating the celebrity chef's oldest child, 24, for a year and looked delighted to see her in Paris as she supported his gold medal bid last week. Gordon interviewed the dad-of-one ahead of the Olympics and now it's been reported he's given the athlete his blessing to join the Ramsay family, officially.

Speaking about the father-of-five's opinion of the Strictly Come Dancing star, a source said: "Gordon always joked that he would be awful when his daughters started dating, but he has really taken Adam under his wing and thinks he's the perfect partner for Holly. He's seen how hard he's worked and what he's been through and has already given him his permission to propose to Holly." Adam has credited the straight-talking Scot with his recovery after the swimmer struggled with alcoholism and depression in the wake of his Commonwealth Games loss in 2022 and split from the mum of his son, Eirianedd.

A source told Heat magazine: "Gordon had his doubts when Adam first started going out with Holly as he is very protective. But they get on very well and Adam really looks up to Gordon." If he does get hitched to Holly, it's sure to be a star-studded affair with Gordon wanting to pull out all the stops for his first child's nuptials.

The source said the chef will definitely go "all out" in a wedding that it likely to cost him a "small fortune". Holly, who met Ad.
