A “goofy” dog who has spent nearly half his life waiting for a forever home is still holding out hope that someone will adopt him. Rescue dog Keanu was adopted at five-months-old after being rescued from the streets of Romania by People’s Animal Welfare Society (Paw Society). But 18 months later he found himself looking for a home once again when his family welcomed a new baby into their lives.

Paw Society is now desperately seeking a patient home for Keanu ahead of his one-year anniversary back in foster care in Burgess Hill. He is currently Paw Society's longest-term resident. "Keanu arrived in his foster home a broken shell of a dog who was extremely fearful. He has come on leaps and bounds during his time in foster and, while he is still sensitive, he has become very playful and affectionate (on his terms).
