Amazon Prime Video’s TV series adaptation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s “Good Omens” will be returning, but not as originally planned. Production on the third and final season of the series was put on hold in September following Gaiman being accused of sexual assault by multiple women. now reports that what was going to be a six-episode season is being shrunk down into just a single 90-minute-long finale episode.

The trade indicates while Gaiman had contributed to the writing of the series finale, he will not be working on the show once production resumes. Gaiman is also no longer listed among the show’s executive producers for the final episode. Filming on the retooled project will resume in early 2025 in Scotland.

The first season premiered in May 2019 and was originally intended to be a limited series, but was renewed for a second season released last year. An order for a third season came last December. Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Jon Hamm, Doon Mackichan, Gloria Obianyo, and Frances McDormand co-star.
