SBI Amrit Kalash FD scheme extended: State Bank of India has more than 50 crore customers, a number that could have made a country comprising only SBI customers the third most populous in the world. Come September 30, 2024 and India’s largest lending institution, State Bank of India, or SBI was supposed to bring down curtains on the popular Fixed Deposit scheme Amrit Kalash. With more than 50 crore customers and 22,500 branches, it is clear that any development on the FD front by SBI can be a matter of interest for a huge number of people.

What is of further significance is that the scheme is a fixed-tenure one and offers a higher rate of interest to the depositors. It offers an interest rate of 7.10% to anyone below 60 years of age and 7.60% for anyone above that cut of mark.

The FD has a fixed tenure of 400 days. “The Scheme will be valid till 31st March 2025,” said the website of the State Bank of India. September 30 was the last date Earlier it was known that the last date for investment in this FD will be September 30, 2024.
