to capture first place, outscoring the opposition by a total of 18-1 across the tournament. "It was beautiful to watch these girls. They play a great team game and this group of girls have been together for over four years.

As a parent, it’s amazing to see all of the growth and the team camaraderie. They’re all best friends," said Curtis Johnson Morrison, a parent of one of the players. Playing the season-ending tournament in Kamloops, the Okanagan Football Club went undefeated, capping off a year that had plenty of goals achieved by the team.

What makes this win extra special for OFC is that the majority of the players in their lineup are underage. “The most remarkable thing about this whole team is they are actually playing up a year. It’s U14 provincials, but the majority of the team are 13 years old and born in 2011.

The majority of the starting line up is 2011 girls.” The Okanagan Football Club U14 female youth team met Coquitlam Metro in the finals, posting a shutout victory and a total score of 6-0 to take home the gold. The team will now enjoy the summer off season before getting back to it again next year, where they aim to defend their provincial title.
