Good Morning Britain was thrown into chaos as Ben Shephard failed to turn up for his interview. Kate Garraway and co-star Richard Madeley returned to TV screens this morning as they presented the ITV hit breakfast show together. The duo were expected to reunite with former GMB presenter Ben, who left the show to join rival ITV daytime show This Morning, but he was a no-show.

Ben jetted off to Germany with fellow telly presenter Chris Kamara, and ex GMB star Piers Morgan for the Euro 2024 final, which saw England clash against Spain. England fans were left heartbroken after the team's 2-1 loss. Kate couldn't help but make a cheeky dig at her good friend. She said: "We were also supposed to have Ben Shephard but it seems he is taking his own personal Bank Holiday. He has not got up so far this morning, we will see if we can wake him up.

" She then joked with Sam and John: "Feel free to lampoon him both of you while you talk. I know you know him very well." Back in February, Ben revealed just how hard a decision it has been to leave Kate at GMB.
