December 19, 1926 - August 1, 2024 OMAHA — Gloria Dinsdale, 97, of Omaha and Palmer, Nebraska, was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Dinsdale. She is survived by a daughter, Jane Dinsdale Rogers, and son, Sid (Dawn), both of Omaha, and by her son, Chris (Joy) of Denver. Gloria is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren in Nebraska and Colorado.

Gloria was born on December 19, 1926, in McCook, Nebraska, to Maude and Colonel Stephens. She spent her childhood in Grand Island, Nebraska, where her father managed The Yancey Hotel. After high school, Gloria attended Ward Belmont College in Nashville, Tennessee, and later the University of Nebraska in Lincoln where she graduated in 1949 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.

At NU, she was a proud member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. In October of 1949, Gloria married Roy Dinsdale and settled down in Palmer. As a young banker, Roy was often traveling, visiting his banks and building his business.

Gloria supported those efforts by often taking on more than just her share of the parenting duties with her young rambunctious family. She still found time to be active in the Palmer United Methodist Church, as her Christian faith was very important to her. She also served in leadership roles with many of Palmer's civic organizations and village projects and actively supported the Republican party on the local, county and state levels.

While Roy and Gloria always remained part of Palmer, in 2011 wan.
