Monday, October 7, 2024 Scotland’s Gleneagles has recently unveiled its Gleneagles Sporting Club, designed to bring a modern twist to the estate’s rich lineup of sporting activities. Expanding on its offering of over 50 country pursuits including horse riding, fishing, golf, and archery the new club incorporates a contemporary edge while honoring Gleneagles’ 100-year legacy. Upon entering, guests are welcomed into a spacious lounge area with comfortable seating and a kitchen pantry designed for self-service, creating a relaxed and homely atmosphere.

The lounge area also features a retail space showcasing the Sporting Club’s exclusive athleisure wear collection, available only on site. The club’s upgraded facilities include an enhanced equestrian center with a refurbished indoor arena and new boot room, plus two indoor tennis courts, three padel courts, a climbing and bouldering wall, and a courtside members’ lounge. The padel offering includes three courts: two for doubles and one for singles, all outfitted with Mondo Supercourt XN artificial turf.

Guests can book hour-long sessions, with doubles being the preferred format. Gleneagles’ expert coaches are on hand to provide tips and bespoke training sessions, guiding guests from beginner level to padel pro. Adding to the tennis experience, the Gleneagles Sporting Club now offers two indoor courts with a hard surface, complementing its existing five outdoor courts.
