Gina Kirschenheiter is defending her polarizing style on “The Real Housewives of Orange County” as fans continue to reel over a recent look she wore in a confessional. “I’m not even going to lie. I loved it.

“I had worn that already to a party and I literally texted my producers and I was like, ‘I feel so good in this, I feel like myself, I wanna wear this in my interview chair.’” Kirschenheiter admits that the garment did not “translate” on camera and even calls it a “hiccup.” “I think it was the gold reflecting that kind of washed me out, it was the angle a little bit, you know, extra volume on that head,” she says, acknowledging her larger-than-life bob with a deep side part.

“So, I don’t know.” While the New York native’s hairstyle was met with a stream of negative online reactions, she still has an affinity for the statement-making ‘do. “It’s so Long Island!” she exclaims.
