Wednesday, July 17, 2024 German airline Sundair introduces in-flight innovation with the KIMBO In-Cup, offering passengers freshly ground Arabica coffee, enhancing their travel experience. This summer, passengers on Sundair, a German airline, are the first to enjoy a groundbreaking in-flight catering innovation. Sundair has collaborated with premier coffee producer Kimbo to introduce the KIMBO In-Cup, allowing airlines and other travel services to provide passengers with freshly ground filter coffee instead of instant coffee.

Developed by Kimbo UK, the KIMBO In-Cup features freshly ground 100% Arabica coffee in a cup, complete with an innovative lid integrated with a filter. Leveraging the expertise of Neapolitan roasters, Kimbo ensures that coffee beans from top origins are perfectly roasted and available for in-flight enjoyment. Each cup contains a dose of ground Kimbo coffee, sealed with aluminum foil to maintain freshness and preserve its full flavor profile.

After removing the foil, the cup can be filled with hot water, and the unique lid with its built-in filter makes it ready to serve. Milk and sugar can be added without removing the lid. The KIMBO In-Cup is now available on all Sundair flights.

Sundair serves over 600,000 passengers annually, traveling to 30 destinations across the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, the Canary Islands, and various domestic routes in Germany, as well as direct flights to Beirut. This innovation is the result of a collaboration between Kimbo U.
