A cleaning expert has shared their 'genius' method to remove red wine stains in seconds with no scrubbing. Nancy Birtwhistle was on This Morning at the beginning of December to share her incredible hack to getting red wine stains out of tablecloth. The tip comes in handy as many are preparing to host guests for dinner and drinks during the holidays.
She made clear that this works on fresh stains and not on stains that have been washed in. The best part is that you only need boiling water. In her demonstration on This Morning, Nancy clipped the tablecloth stained in red wine to a colander.
She said you would want to put the colander in the sink for the next step. She said: You would use freshly boiled water out of the kettle. Basically what you do is just pour that on.
You can see that already have an impact and you can see that you will dissolve away. It breaks down and just disappears." She added that this tip works on fruit juice, jam and mincemeat.
When it comes to stains that you cannot put in the sink - for example, the carpet - she shared another trick. Nancy said to make a solution with one part vinegar, two parts tepid water and a squirt of eco-friendly washing up. She said that then uses the solution and works from the outside to get the stain out.
One person online was grateful for the tip and wrote: "Nancy is truly a goddess." Earlier we reported how Nancy has also shared an environmentally-friendly way of unblocking clogged sinks. She advises using eco-alternative.
