As Brits get ready to scorch in another glorious summer heatwave, many of us will be taking the opportunity to bask in the glory of our gardens too. Much of the UK has experienced cooler and windier conditions this week due to a warm high pressure front travelling up through the British Isles. But for those wishing for a blast of summer sun, you won't have to wait long .

But with the pools, it's better to warm them up a bit rather than risking the ice cold plunge, which is uncomfortable even on the hottest days. One mum has shared a genius hack for heating up your paddling pool by up to 14 degrees before letting yourself or your little ones hop in. And thankfully, it only costs around £2.
While many adults will love bracing the nippy pool, it's not ideal for the youngsters, who are unlikely to enjoy the cold water that just came out of the garden hose. Mum Libbie took to Facebook to reveal her own plans for heating up the pool. It may not be the most environmentally-friendly idea, but she says it does work perfectly.
