Another day, another black edition. Genesis has revealed the new GV80 Black. Here is what you need to know.
Luxury manufacturers don’t seem to be tired of rolling out special editions for minor things and customers cannot stop buying them. Genesis has revealed the new GV80 Black and GV80 Coupe Black editions which are to say the least, blacked out from inside out. We personally don’t love the murdered out look all the time but it seems like everyone wants to look gangster in their murdered out SUVs even if its something like the very sophisticated looking GV80.
To start with, all the chrome details have been painted in black now. The grille is painted in gloss black, so are the window trims, and so is the lower part of the grille. The roof rails, rear bumper trim and chrome lining around the lights have also been done in black.
The headlights are also smoked from the inside. You also get huge 22-inch wheels which are painted in gloss black as well and the Genesis log has been done in dark grey metallic which is a tasteful touch. On the inside, you get a full black interior.
The seats, the dashboard, all the trim pieces, even the speaker grilles and also the switches get a black treatment. It also gets wood trim which is black but has a satin finish to it and breaks up the otherwise dark interior very well. We don’t expect any changes in terms of the drivetrains, and both the cars should have the same 2.
