Fans of the long-running soap opera slammed the writers for how they dealt with a grieving storyline. Last week, Kristina (Kate Mansi) was arguing with (Maura West) when Ava reached for her, causing Kristina to stumble back and trip over a duffle bag before into the Metro Court pool below. As she was eight and a half months pregnant, carrying the child for her sister Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and her partner TJ (Tajh Bellow), Kristina was rushed to the hospital to save her and her baby's life.
Tragically, the child didn't make it. The show on Wednesday touched on the issue, showing TJ and Molly dealing with the loss for a few minutes, but the focus of the episode was Sonny (Maurice Benard) learning his bipolar medications were placebo pills.
