The former TOWIE star, 43, who recently shared her desire to become a mother herself with OK!, took to Instagram earlier this week with a touching message accompanied by a nostalgic picture of her family basking in better times by her luxurious pool. In the heartwarming picture, Gemma dons a sleek black swimsuit while lounging on a white float, with her 68 year old mum Joan comfortably dipping her hands in the water, clinging to the inflatable.

Penning her thoughts alongside the snap, she wrote: "No day is to be taken for granted. Mum went for a check up and was kept in hospital last night. This year has been one thing after another.

" In a show of support for a quick recovery, she added: "Sending love to @joancollins1 hurry home we LOVE YOU.", reports the Mirror . Gemma has not yet shared an update on her mum.

Trouble doesn't seem to shy away from Joan lately. Back in May, a distressed Gemma shared the scary news that her mum stopped breathing leading to urgent hospital admission. "So last week I had the shock of my life when my mum stopped breathing, I called an ambulance and was told to prepare for the worst.
