Gemma Collins has revealed that she was ‘very lucky’ to survive a storm at sea as she sends her condolences to the people who lost their lives in the same tornado. On Monday morning a tornado wreaked havoc off the coast of Porticello fishing village. The weather caused a Baysian superyacht to sink and although 15 people were rescued, the sailboat’s chef was found dead and six people are still missing.

Gemma, 43, shocked her followers by explaining that she too was affected by this storm off the coast of Sicily and was ‘stuck for four hours’. In the caption of a photo of her on a boat, the star explained: ‘Holiday update my heartfelt condolences to the people and families involved in the tragic disaster at sea in Sicily ❤️ ‘I was very lucky me and my nephew to have survived the storm at sea 🌊 ‘I am shaken and returning to the UK tomorrow god was on our side today 🙏🏻😘 we was stuck for 4 hours can you imagine what was going through my mind 🙏🏻thank you @bluediamondcruise for getting us back safely ❤️’ On her Instagram story, Gemma shared images from her boat trip of what should have been a beautiful trip. The photos posted showed the sunny start to the day, plus the luxurious oysters and tomato salads she enjoyed while on the boat.

She also showed videos of the small boat being lashed by the rain as she, her nephew, and the two boat staff huddled towards the centre as the exposed areas around them were covered in rainwater. The TV perso.
