Fan-favourite Gavin & Stacey character Nessa, played by the series' co-creator Ruth Jones, has sent a message to singer Beverley Knight ahead of her performance in the Welsh capital this week. Knight, whose headline show is at Cardiff's Utilita Arena this Thursday, September 26, was teased by the beloved character who said she might even make an appearance at the show. In a video shared to Knight's Instagram, Ruth Jones as her Nessa alter-ego said: "Oh Bev! What's occurin'? The question was rhetorical, we all knows what's occurin' - you're performing Thursday night at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff .

Now look I knows you want me to join you on stage but it's not going to happen, cause quite frankly, I can't be arsed. "But I will give you this - you're a crackin' little singer so I might just come and sit in the audience and cheer you along - orite? Cracking. Tidy.

Have a good one."
