1 2 Vadodara: Former India cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev attended the condolence meet of former Team India coach Anshuman Gaekwad in the city on Thursday. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah also attended the prayer meet organized by Gaekwad’s family. Gaekwad, a former India cricketer and coach, died of blood cancer on July 31.

Gujarat DGP Vikas Sahay, city police commissioner Narasimha Komar, Vadodara IG Sandip Singh, royal scion Samarjit Gaekwad, and Radhikaraje Gaekwad were among the attendees, along with former India cricketers Kiran More, Balwindersingh Sandhu, Atul Bedade, and ex-Mumbai Ranji skipper Shishir Hattangadi.
