Pune: The merit list for the special admission round 3 of the first-year junior college (FYJC, Std XI) Centralised Admission Process (CAP) in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad was announced on Thursday. Of the total vacant seats after three regular rounds and two special rounds, the CAP committee made allotments for 3,855 students in the final merit list. Of these, 2,953 students have been allotted junior colleges according to their preferences.

In the arts stream, 258 students got seats, in the commerce stream, 1,175 students were assigned junior colleges, in the science stream, 1,439 students were allotted junior colleges and in the vocational education stream, 81 students were give junior colleges according to their preferences. Assistant director in Pune, deputy director of education and member secretary of CAP, Jyoti Parihar, said, "Students who wish to take admission in the allotted college should click on 'proceed for admission' in their login, upload the necessary documents, and confirm their admission by visiting the allotted college. It is advisable for students to confirm their seats as soon as possible.

" According to the CAP committee, students must secure their admission in junior colleges by 6pm on Aug 23. If some students are unable to secure admission in this round, the schedule for further admission procedures will be announced later. "There will be no first-cum-first-serve round this year.
