Check out the 40-second teaser here: This new information clears up previous reports that the series would be set before the events of 2012’s Prometheus , with the trailer describing that “in 2120, Mother Earth is expecting”, following the usual close-up of a Xenomorph as seen in previous teasers . Short glimpses of other creatures are also shown, including a Xenomorph egg hatching and what looks to be the eye of an unknown white creature.

Setting the show’s chronology to be much further away from the events of Prometheus does come as no surprise, with showrunner Noah Hawley explaining earlier in the year that he would not be using the backstor.
