The funeral and cremation will be a private event The funeral date for one of the three stabbing victims from Southport has been announced. Alice DaSilva Aguiar was one of the three children brutally killed in Southport last week, with her family arranging her funeral and details being shared on social media. Alice was one of three children killed in the mass stabbing that also injured eight children and two adults at The Hart Space.

A 17-year-old, Axel Rudakubana, was charged with three counts of murder and ten counts of attempted murder after the stabbings last week. In the days that followed the attack, tributes flooded the coastal town as thousands laid flowers, teddies and balloons at the cordon on Hart Street, at Elsie's primary school , and the primary schools of Bebe King, six, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, who were also killed, as well as outside The Atkinson in the town centre where thousands turned out for a vigil last week . In a funeral notice shared online, it confirmed the funeral is set to take place at St Patrick's Catholic Church on Marshside Road starting at 2pm.

The service will be followed by a cremation at Crossens Community Centre. The funeral and cremation will be a private event, with people unable to enter the ceremony uninvited. Earlier today, the inquests were opened into the deaths of Alice, Bebe and Elsie more than a week on from their deaths.
