Greater Manchester is set for a rainy and cloudy couple of days - before weather conditions brighten and warm up towards the end of the week. By Saturday, Met Office forecasters predict temperatures will climb to around 24C with largely sunny and dry conditions expected. But before the weekend, conditions are expected to be mostly cloudy with some rain showers forecast for our region.

Today (Tuesday) downpours are predicted for this afternoon with some cloudy intervals. Temperatures will reach a high of around 19C. A similar picture is predicted on Friday before conditions brighten up on Saturday, with wall-to-wall sunshine and highs of 22C forecast, according to the Met Office. Sunday and Monday are then set to be very warm as the mercury climbs to 24C.
