A date has been set for the full inquest into the death of a man who lost control of his motorbike. Conner Dickinson was just 24 when he died on November 21 last year. Mr Dickinson from Horwich, was riding a motorbike along Tonge Moor Road on the day in question.

The opening to his inquest in December last year heard that he lost control of the bike and was run over by an HGV. Police and paramedics were called, but he succumbed to his injuries the same day. The court was told he was a labourer. Lois Norris, representing the family, said how they wanted as much evidence as possible to be available for the full inquest. She asked for a police officer to give evidence at the hearing in relation to the circumstances prior to the collision, as well as a member of the public, for the "same reasons".

She added: "There is genuine concern from the family about an unmarked police car. In relation to that, the movements of the unmarked police car, we have a statement from PC Melia, clarity might possibly be required.
