Strictly Come Dancing 2024 will mark Amy Dowden 's return to the show after her cancer battle with a celebratory dance. Ahead of the show's return, the professional ballroom and Latin American dancer dedicated the dance to "others facing cancer" at the moment. Strictly Come Dancing star Amy, 34, was initially diagnosed with grade three breast cancer, aged 32, in May 2023 after finding a lump in her breast the day before she went on her honeymoon .

She hoped surgery would solve it, but two months later was told doctors had found "more tumours" and "another type of cancer". The Strictly professional, who first joined the BBC One show in 2007, who had a mastectomy , eventually got the all clear earlier this year. The stunning Quickstep routine to mark her comeback will see Amy front and centre as she dazzles the audience, alongside her fellow Professional Dancers.

The empowering routine will exude glamour and is the perfect way to welcome Amy back for the 22nd series of the competition, following her breast cancer diagnosis in May 2023. Amy’s husband and family were watching on in the audience at Elstree Studios. Amy's routine, which was choreographed by Jason Gilkison, is danced to a medley of Training Season by Dua Lipa , Busy Earnin’, Candle Flame and Keep Moving all by Jungle, and by Jungle and Eric the Architect, as performed by the wonderful Dave Arch and his band.

Amy said: “I am so excited for every element of being back with my Strictly family. I am so grateful to.
