Friends has inspired a brand new game show that will challenge die-hard fans to prove just how well they know their favourite comedy. 30 years after the series premiere in 1994, the iconic NBC sitcom is still watched by millions of devotees all over the world. Just a handful of those viewers will now get the chance to participate in a series of challenges in the new competition show Fast Friends on HBO’s streaming platform Max.

The four-part series will be filmed at the The Friends Experience: The One in New York City, which features a 17,000 square-foot replica of the show’s most iconic sets. Contestants will race through the series’ apartments and the legendary Central Perk cafe whilst competing in a series of trivia games, interactive puzzles and other challenges to put their Friends knowledge to the test. Production will begin this October, though a UK streaming home for the game show has yet to be confirmed.

An official synopsis reads: “Fast Friends, a new four-part game show, will take place in the celebrated series’ iconic sets in a fast-paced competition event. "From racing through Rachel and Monica’s apartment to darting across Joey and Chandler’s bachelor pad and grabbing a coffee at Central Perk, fans will re-live their favorite moments while being put to the test with trivia, puzzles, and games that will keep even the most die-hard Friends fans on their toes.
