Parks across Solihull are set to be transformed this summer as the council announces a major programme of events. Some of the borough's most loved and well-used green spaces will look completely different over the next six weeks as they are taken over by performers and community groups. Green spaces that are due to change in the coming weeks include Dicken’s Heath Village Green, Shirley Park, Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens and Dorridge Park to name a few.

The "exciting" changes are being brought in as part of 'Fresh Air Theatre' an extensive cultural programme from Solihull Culture. The organisation is bringing more than 40 free events to parks across Solihull this summer. Supported by the West Midlands Combined Authority’s Commonwealth Games Legacy Fund, it will feature performances from world class theatre, dance, music and physical theatre companies.
