An educational seminar about freeports will take place next month, hosted by a Bolton News Business of the Year 2024 finalist. Unlocking the Potential of Freeports: Navigating Opportunities for Logistics Success will be hosted by Irish Freight Solutions (IFS) at the Club McGinlay Suite at Toughsheet Community Stadium in Horwich , from 9am to 12pm on Thursday, September 26. The seminar will provide insights on freeport opportunities in the context of the post-Brexit logistics landscape.
Networking opportunities will also be available at the event. A panel of industry experts will discuss reduced customs regulations, streamlined processes, and tax incentives associated with freeports. Among the speakers will be Angus Hirst, director of customs, operations, and compliance at SSO International; Stephen McAneney, managing director of Allied Fleet Services; and Ryan Davies, group commercial manager at IFS.
After a welcome and networking opportunity at 9am, introductions will take place at 10am followed by talks on customs at 10.10am, trading with Ireland at 10.20am, and freeports and their benefits at 10.
