(Image source: History of Yesterday) Frane Selak , born in 1929 in Croatia, is widely known as the man with an uncanny ability to survive the unthinkable. Over the course of his life, Selak experienced a series of near-death events that could easily be mistaken for a Hollywood script. His remarkable story of survival, resilience, and unexpected fortune captured the attention of the world, earning him a place in history as one of the luckiest men alive.

Frane Selak's miraculous escapes from death Frane Selak's journey into the realm of the extraordinary began in 1957. At the time, he was a music teacher living a relatively simple life, but everything changed when he boarded a bus that skidded off the road and plunged into a river. Miraculously, Selak survived, and little did he know that this incident would be the first of many near-death experiences to come.

In 1962, Selak faced another brush with death when the train he was riding derailed, killing several passengers. Despite the chaos and destruction, he emerged with only minor injuries. As if these accidents weren’t enough, Selak experienced one of the rarest and most terrifying disasters in 1963—a plane crash.

When the aircraft's door malfunctioned mid-flight, he was ejected from the plane. Against all odds, he landed on a haystack, while the plane crashed, killing 19 people. Once again, Selak walked away unharmed.

The streak of danger continued throughout the years. In 1970 and 1973, Selak survived two separate incid.
