Omar El Sheikh has been named the new Executive Chef at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, taking charge of the resort’s entire culinary sector. His responsibilities encompass a variety of dining services including the Four Seasons breakfast, The Break, and Malibu Farm, along with personalized dining experiences, room service, collaborations with renowned chefs at Nobu Lanai and Osteria Mozza Residency, and comprehensive catering services for events such as weddings and other social gatherings.

Originally from Cairo, Egypt, El Sheikh discovered his culinary passion through the delectable dishes prepared by his grandmother. His family relocated to the United States when he was 16, which marked the start of his culinary career. He pursued his education at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, earning a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, followed by a Culinary Arts degree from Kendall College in Chicago.

It was during his studies that he interned as a line cook at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, gaining essential experience. El Sheikh’s career progressed as he held the position of executive sous chef at Charlie Palmer’s Aureole and Michael Mina’s restaurant at Bellagio in Las Vegas. He later became the executive chef at The Mansions at MGM Grand and at Crockfords Hotel, Resort World Las Vegas.
