COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) Four more men are now charged with first-degree murder in a June 2023 fatal shooting on Dove Drive in Columbia. Deazes Turner, 22, is charged with first-degree murder, three counts of armed criminal action and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon after a superseding indictment was filed Friday.
He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. His next court date has not been set. Alqueze Jones and Deljuan Turner, both 20, of Columbia, also saw their second-degree murder charges upgraded to first-degree murder, Boone County Prosecutor Roger Johnson wrote in an email response to questions.
A superseding indictment is expected to appear on Casenet later, Johnson said. Both are being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. Turner has a hearing set for 8:30 a.

He’s now charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and first-degree vehicle tampering in the death of Deshon Houston, 33, outside a home on Dove Drive on June 26, 2023.
