The Elms, on Arnolds Lane, closed down in 2022, just before being rated 'Inadequate' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The decision to close came after the home admitted they had 'not been able to provide the right standard of care'.

Since closing, the building has been left vacant, although it did go up for sale . Plans have now been put forward by develo.
