Former Longhorns TE Ja’Tavion Sanders is set to make his NFL debut on Thursday, August 8th when the Carolina Panthers take on the New England Patriots in its first preseason game. Sanders was a key piece in the Longhorn’s College Football Playoff run accounting for 682 yards and two touchdowns in 2023. Carolina beat writer Nasheena Quick joined the “Pat McAfee Show” to talk about Sanders’ NFL debut and the impact he might have versus the Patriots.

The rookie has already made an impact in preseason training camp. Former Longhorns running back Johnathan Brooks was also drafted by Carolina. His availability remains uncertain as he is still recovering from a torn ACL he sustained last season against TCU.
